what we need & what you'll do (responsibilities):
- design, develop, upgrade, modify, implement, and support software components anywhere in the powerbi software stack. 20%
- determine root cause for the most complex powerbi issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions. 20%
- remain current on new bi technologies and available vendor packages; evaluate, make recommendations and perform proof of concepts as necessary 10%
- assist in task planning, estimation and scheduling. Mentor senior engineers and engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and technical training opportunities. Determine process improvements, best practices, and establish development standards and guidelines. Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams and management. 25%
who you are (qualifications):
- level of formal education: bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience
- area of study: business systems development
- years of experience: minimum 8 years experience in data analytics & business intelligence related field
- minimum 2 years of experience with microsoft powerbi
- type of experience:
significant experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
Expert knowledge of professional data engineering and best practices for the full development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

expert level-experience developing in waterfall, agile and hybrid environments
