.*job details*what you will do*johnson controls is seeking a data analyst who is detail-oriented and has the patience, drive, and creative discipline to deliver on monthly "must haves" and deliver exceptional results when supporting our hr stakeholders.this role will manage, produce, debug and ensure data quality of our monthly hr data models, work products and related deliverables.through the guidance of the group manager, this role will support the production of our monthly data models, maintain and develop dynamic visualizations (i.e., dashboards) and advanced reports using business intelligence tools (e.g; alteryx, tableau, excel, power bi, etc.) that provide rich answers to critical workforce and business questions for the business and hr.the analyst will be required to quickly become familiar with johnson controls workforce data, its structure, and understand hr processes and practices.*how you will do it*- initially supporting monthly data model preparation processes (with alteryx) with the goal to own/manage ongoing after the first 90 days in role.- initially supporting the execution of monthly data preparation and reporting activities (including: metrics, scorecards, dashboards, powerpoint decks, etc.) with the goal to own/manage ongoing process after the first 90 days in role.- initially supporting the administration of our sql database (analysis data sets used in work products) with the goal to be 100% responsible for the administration of the database after the first 270 days in role.- develop custom visualizations, dashboards, and advanced reports for presentation in multiple formats (i.e., tableau, powerbi, microsoft powerpoint, excel, etc.)- hands-on support for multiple data clean-up efforts in support of data reporting accuracy.- develop and support audit scripts to identify data quality issues and present corrective actions in a timely manner.- support the design, development, testing and maintenance of any dashboards or analysis efforts the group is working on.- administering dashboard security, permissions, and providing training and support to our customers on our existing work products as needed.- responsible for the ongoing maintenance of sharepoint-related lists, custom mappings and tables (allowing for specific segmentations and measures) used in work products.*what we look for*- bachelor's degree in it, engineering, computer science, finance, mathematics or other field with equivalent work experience is required.- 1+ years of *sql database *or related experience (use of select, update statements) is preferred.- 1+ years of *business intelligence, analytics or data visualization *or related experience; tableau; powerpoint is preferred.- 1+ years of microsoft *excel *or access experience (use of vlookup, sumifs, pivot tables, chart formatting, database modeling) is preferred
