*the objectives of cost specialist are*:- provide standard reporting and analytics for plant finance and focus factory manager.- control of production and price variances.- standard cost and i/co price list definition- support on sox activities- provide decision support to dom and focus factory specialist- coordinate and participate in the monthly plant focus factory- coordinate future cost planning, budget and le processes in the respective focus factory- new products costs analysis- ensure finance validation for ftg program- maintain overall finance compliance and provide policy adherence for cost accounting related activities- customers of cost specialist include:- plant controller- focus factory manager- dom (director of manufacturing)- budget & planning- north america division key business partners- division net ops*summary of the position*:responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- provide periodic updates to the local plant management team on financial analysis, progress against goals and recommendations to close financial gaps.- coordinate with cbs and direct procurement the standard cost process.- coordinate release local price list and i/co price list- assist in the validation of ceb saving validation- support to internal and external audit- collaboratively work with other process teams as required to support key issue resolution- coordinate and develop budget, forecast, and rolling estimate processes for supply chain expenses- oversee month-end reporting & analysis, period-end submissions- facilitate/participate in operational/business partnering meetings and activities such as ppr.
