this role is critical in ensuring data accuracy and integrity, performing functional testing, and bridging the gap between product requirements and actionable results.
unlike traditional software qa roles, this position focuses heavily on data auditing, variance analysis, and financial data management.first 3 months:document & functional testing: write test plans, execute functional and regression testing, and validate product features from a user perspective.data auditing & variance analysis: perform weekly audits of deposits and refunds, identify discrepancies, and document findings with clear bug tickets.training: gain hands-on training in requirements analysis, jira story creation, and customer setup procedures.3-6 months:requirements analysis: break down product requirements into technical jira stories with clear acceptance criteria.customer setup & support: assist with technical setups, integrations, and specific configurations for new customers.collaboration: work closely with product managers, developers, and customer success teams to ensure seamless delivery and support.work schedule & salary:schedule: 9:00 am–6:00 pm pt (fully remote)compensation options:$30,000 mxn gross with above-law benefits (payroll).$37,000 mxn net payment (contractor) + accounting support (direct payment).responsibilities:translate product requirements into actionable jira stories and acceptance criteria.conduct functional and regression testing, ensuring products meet specifications.perform detailed data audits and variance analysis to identify discrepancies.assist with technical setups and support for new customer integrations.collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing insights from data analysis and testing.troubleshoot and validate technical requirements, supporting implementations.experience, education, & tools:experience: 3–5+ years in qa and product management, with a focus on data qa and business analysis.education: bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, accounting, or finance preferred.tools: proficiency with excel, google suite, jira, sql queries, apis, and at least one coding language.must-have skills:strong business analysis skills with a focus on data management.proven experience in functional and regression testing.basic accounting knowledge and experience in financial data analysis.excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.apply now:if you are detail-oriented, technically savvy, and passionate about ensuring data integrity and product quality, we encourage you to apply for the business analyst & qa data position.
