Minimum qualifications:
- bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in finance (accounting and taxes), compliance, and finance operations.
- ability to speak and write in english and spanish fluently.
Preferred qualifications:
- experience with local subsidiary of us multinational companies.
- understanding of accounting principles (ifrs and us gaap).
- knowledge of electronic invoicing and accounting rules in mexico.
- understanding of internal controls and sox compliance sap user.
- knowledge of mexico tax reports.
- ability to manage audit deliverables, external audit management, and follow up.
*about the job*:
in this role, you will work with the global operations team, professional service providers, in-country business leaders, and the broader finance, tax, and legal teams. You will support all google’s businesses organization in latam and canada regions, overseeing financial and regulatory compliance matters.
You'll advise and review on financial reports, prepare and analyze month end close, collaborate with our local and global team, advocate best practices, and work on process improvements.

*responsibilities*:
- perform analysis to support monthly process.
- participate in ongoing policy, system, and control improvements to ensure compliance.
- support accounts payable (ap) and treasury functions, ensuring efficient and accurate finance processes for local operations.
- distribute activities to available shared center support international tax teams.
- work with tax partner firms to guarantee taxes calculations and taxes forms deliverables. Ensure compliance related to electronic accounting and invoicing processes according to regional laws.
