lead the financial operation and accounting processes of the plant, proactively assisting in the planning, analysis, development, and control of manufacturing financial reports that support the controller in decision making, while ensuring internal controls and safeguarding company assets and sustainability of cost reduction projects.
responsibilities
* guarantee solid control of the business's financial resources according to the authorized budget for both normal operation and launch expenses and capital, in addition to preparing and analyzing the p&l planning for outlooks, plans, weekly, forecasts, etc.
* coordinate the month closing process, guaranteeing the control and correct recording of accounting entries in a timely manner to avoid risks in the financial statements, reporting in a truthful and timely manner to the plant controller the monthly results and explanation of variations in the p&l.
* ensure that the necessary internal controls exist and are followed to confirm the ethical and moral quality of the members of the business.
* coordinate the work and responsibilities of the collaborators in charge, ensuring the delivery of results in a timely manner.
* assist in a timely manner in the analysis and delivery of both internal and external audit requirements.
* support in the control and administration of inventories of raw materials, indirect materials, as well as the control and safeguarding of fixed assets to mitigate possible financial losses.
* implement financial improvements through analysis of key operating metrics, as well as support the development and implementation of cost reduction projects, ensuring their sustainability over time.
* ensure that the manufacturing cost is correctly costed and analyzed.
* actively participate in problem-solving meetings, as well as comply with the agreements made in said meetings.
requirements
* bachelor's degree in accounting
* 5 - 7 minimum years of experience as a sr. Cost accountant, preferably
* 5 - 7 minimum years of experience within the automotive industry.
