*what you will do?*
implements a plant's supply chain strategy to facilitate the cost-effective flow of materials and products from suppliers to customers through the manufacturing and distribution network. May have responsibility for distribution, planning, and/or materials management.
*how you will do it?*
1. Ensure that the prices of direct and indirect production inputs maintain the level of competitiveness and quality compared to other suppliers.
2. Work with the engineering, logistics and materials areas with the intention of giving timely attention to the different needs of the operation that are related to supply, so as not to cause line stoppages due to lack of materials.
3. Evaluate and select external suppliers according to the needs of the plant.
4. Reviews warehouse inventories and does its best to maintain the established levels.
5. Maintains close communication with receiving, warehouse, production, in order to meet customer requirements in terms of delivery dates, quantity, quality and part numbers.
6. Coordinates, with the help of receiving and logistics, the arrival of materials to ensure supply to the production lines.
7. Monitor purchasing area operating indicators on a daily basis to detect areas of opportunity in search of continuous improvement.
8. Monitor downtime or downtime due to causes of their department, in order to perform a complete analysis of the existing areas of opportunity and thus be able to solve them.
9. Analyze production, short material and scheduling reports looking for continuous improvement.
10. Ensure that the personnel under his responsibility work in a safe environment.
11. Promote a safety culture and actively participate in activities that tend to improve working conditions in the plant.
