Position:
the manager of continuous improvement will engage, coach, problem solve and lead teams to improve front-end processes, manufacturing processes, advance technologies and implement capital equipment to execute customer-focused improvements across global sites. They will design, facilitate, and deploy the use of visual management and hold accountability to properly use daily management (sqdci) within the teams. The incumbent will lead in the development and implementation of the columbus mckinnon business system (cmbs). location: monterrey, mx essential duties and responsibilities:
1. drive columbus mckinnon strategic deployment actions across the group, through engagement and leadership, break through mapping, performance monitoring, data-driven problem solving and sustainability.
2. lead continuous improvement across the business by executing and sustaining compliance to the columbus mckinnon business system
3. ensure adherence and execution of sqdci daily management and coach employees to action and problem solve abnormalities.
4. direct responsibility for all continuous improvement activities including daily management, kaizen, 5s and visual management, vsm, tpm, smed, rccm, and footprint strategies.
5. evaluate needs for manufacturing technology and facility equipment enhancement and justify as well as execute capital improvement projects.
6. plant co-champion for new product introduction
7. plan, promote and organize training activities related to ci tools, product quality and reliability.
