*title*: engineering manager
*function*: provides technical support for the manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and tooling support functions.
*responsibilities*:
- direct, review, or approve project design changes.
- manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in architecture or engineering projects.
- present and explain proposals, reports, or findings to clients.
- develop or implement policies, standards, or procedures for engineering and technical work.
- consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.
- confer with management, production, or marketing staff to discuss project specifications or procedures.
- assure and maintain safe and healthful working conditions while enforcing safety rules and regulations.
- review engineering changes to coordinate design changes, correct process drawings and routings for modifications, and ensure implementation on production floor.
- maintain an awareness of technical progress in production processes, tooling methods, and equipment to seek improvements to production delivery.
- recommend and coordinate implementation of product and process changes to reduce costs/or improve manufacturability and product quality.
- responsible for any other special projects as assigned.
*education/experience required*:
- bachelor's degree in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering or equivalent
- at least 5 years' working experience as a manufacturing or process engineer
- at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- ability to perform mathematical calculations
- proficiency in microsoft office
- excellent written and verbal skills
- self-motivated and well organized
