the primary purpose of this role is to implement miba compliance standards locally, oversee, coordinate import and export processes in coordination with customers, suppliers and customs brokers.
a special focus lies within the implementation and rollout of a local immex program, ensuring that all related requirements are fulfilled.
this position is crucial for maintaining legal compliance, optimizing operational processes and costs, and supporting miba's mission of 'technologies for a cleaner planet.'Responsibilitiesimplementation of global standards: implement standards in customs & trade compliance for miba mexico.support & coordination: collaborate with local colleagues in procurement, supply chain management, and sales on all customs & trade compliance issues, including:usmca / t-mec & country of origin determinationcustoms tariff classificationcustoms valuationexport control classificationmanagement & oversight: oversee all import & export customs processes for miba mexico.data review: manage and review import entry data, implementing standard compliance checks; constantly check for customs savings potentials.training & workshops: conduct training sessions and workshops for local employees.project management: lead and implement projects in local customs & trade compliance.licenses & legal changes: obtain immex and rips-anual license and implement all related processes, ensuring that all legal and reporting requirements are fulfilled and constantly monitored; observation of any legal changes.authority coordination: coordinate with local customs authorities.customs brokers; operational customs handling: coordination and alignment with involved customs brokers.
review and evaluation of brokers and managing brokerage costs; operational customs management of all inbound and outbound shipments.consulting & alignment: provide consulting in customs & foreign trade to local procurement, sales & supply chain department.
