this ensures the company's record-to-report (r2r) process is executed properly per corporate policies and procedures, us gaap and local gaap frameworks, sox compliance, as well as service partnership agreements between the process stakeholders.
responsibilities include supporting local finance managers for samcam countries and the regional and corporate team in the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements through effective execution of general accounting journal entries, balance sheet accounts reconciliations, financial statement transactional analysis, and eom close deliverables via the supervisor and staff teams in oracle and onestream systems.
additionally, the role involves partnering and liaising with internal and external audit teams to ensure no findings are identified in any audit review, establishing and improving operational key metrics/goals to optimize team performance, ensuring proper workload distribution among the team, and driving continuous process improvement for automation and efficiency while ensuring compliance with key controls.detailed responsibilities:ensure the effective performance of the accounting and reporting (gl/r2r) team for south and central america per agreed spas and kpi.ensure accounting and process standardization across the regions.ensure alignment and accomplishment of service partnership agreements.ensure standard operating processes and manual operations are documented and updated.ensure the team's proper recording of accounting records, financial statements, and related analyses.partner and liaise with internal and external audit teams.act as the primary point of contact for record to report issues.establish, determine, and improve on key success metrics to optimize team performance.collaborate with other departments to effectively drive the record to report process.ensure financial information meets the company requirements and policies (us-gaap, local gaap, and sox).ensure that the team provides local teams with the required information in a timely manner, adequate for review, analysis, and reporting.job qualificationsrequired qualifications:skills:analytical skills and proficiency in microsoft office programs (including excel and powerpoint).excellent written and verbal communication skills.flexibility to function under varied timeframes and adapt as the external environment and organization evolve.the ability to work under deadline pressure while maintaining a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.languages:native in spanish.advanced in english
