job description
summary: financial cost accountant analyst is overall responsible for the execution of the analysis and determination of stock, cost of goods (sold) and the fixed cost within the operation's organization.

representative activities:
1. support and assist in the close process. Complete analysis, prepare journal entries and analyze information for accuracy and completeness. Input into the system.
2. research and provide financial and business related analyses to assess the impact of various corporate projects and transactions.
3. support and assist in the aop process. Coordinate preparation of cost center budgets. Input data into planning systems.
4. prepare forecasts and analyze trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions and other related areas.
5. provide assistance to departments in the formulation of their budgets. Review departmental actual expenses versus budget. Issue monthly variance statements.
6. follow policies and procedures as per the financial policy manual. Assist in the development of business policies and performance measures.
7. accounting of the stock movements, de/re-valuation, stock accruals;
8. analyze production efficiency / inefficiency to understand the labor rates by machine;
9. develop and maintain a report for the productions standards as scrap, waste and speed so that the variances reported reflect a real actual figure;
10. develop and describe administrative procedures regarding logistic and manufacturing processes;
11. reporting of production results (variance reporting), stock turns, obsolete and slow moving accruals.
12. support the operations team in productivity and cost savings projects;
13. identify and assist in developing critical management and inventory transactions/control reports;
14. taking part in the completion of the annual and strategic planning process;
15. participation on monthly close and provide monthly variation analysis;
16. be a business partner (sit in during monthly sbu/operations);
17. control raw materials costs on a monthly basis through solid and clear reports
18. provide financial analysis and support in the afe (authorization for expenditure) process and the strategic plan.
19. support global operations on an as-needed basis.
20. look for opportunities to improve the process effectiveness and improvements.
financial analyst representative activities:
21. serve as primary liaison to a business unit to ensure their financial accounting needs are met. Act as a focal point for interpretation of accounting policies and procedures.
22. prepare and analyze month-end and variance reports. Ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis of financial data.
23. review general ledger reports to ensure correct accounts are classified. Participate in earnings estimates and support the month-end close process.
24. review profit and loss report within assigned area.
25. provide accounting expertise to business units when special projects arise. Present accounting information to senior management.
26. assist business units with charts of accounts and cost center hierarchy issues.
27. research and provide financial and business related analyses to assess the impact of transactions.
28. prepare details of work plan and schedule, complete detailed analysis and research, identify options, prepare reports for business unit managers and recommend action or change.
29. develop cost allocations. Track capitalized salaries. Prepare forecasts and analyze trends.
30. involved with special projects as needed.
31. responsible for coordinating the monthly closing of inventories and production orders with operations.

qualifications
education and relevant experience.
33. bachelor’s degree preferably in finance or related field.
34. 2-5 years finance or related experience.
35. oracle knowledge is strongly preferred.
36. fluent english required
37. skilled in proficiently using computers and related software in performing financial job tasks, specifically setting up spreadsheet formulas, linking spreadsheets, extracting data, developing graphs.
38. ability to design, develop, and maintain tables, formulas, graphs, and macros in wordperfect or similar word processing programs as well as set up tables, queries, and reports in access or similar database programs.
39. knowledge of research methodologies. Ability to conduct research, prepare comprehensive reports and present complex financial and statistical information in a clear and succinct fashion.
40. skill in communicating complex ideas effectively, both orally and in writing, and making presentations to large groups. Ability to work well with all levels of management and employees.
41. good analytical, organizational and communication skills.
