in fortune brands innovation, inc., we're looking for a project manager for our new innovation center in nuevo leon. You’ll have the opportunity to:
* manage new product projects and staff for fbin as part of our go-to-market strategy.
* lead the cross-functional teams across the business that implement new product opportunities in a fast, quality-oriented fashion.
* manage a group of engineers and designers and further develop people management skills.
key responsibilities:
* lead/manage associates and multiple projects in an aggressive and innovative approach in developing new components, assemblies, and models utilizing a working knowledge of various materials, processes, and engineering practices. Demonstrated speed to market skills mandatory.
* utilize fbin product development processes to develop new products that fulfill business opportunities (timing, customer requirements, and cost targets) while meeting all applicable building codes and internal requirements.
* motivate teams to investigate and coordinate outside technical/industrial resources to develop innovative, quality designs to meet business opportunities.
* provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching throughout the engineering/manufacturing environment.
* compile, prepare, and present data for project updates and technical presentations to staff and executive management.
* provide engineering/technical support and project management assistance to all engineering customers, both internal and external.
* may perform other duties as assigned.
minimum requirements:
* minimum of b.s. degree in engineering (mechanical, mechatronic, etc.).
* mba preferred.
* prefer certification as a certified project manager through pma.
* minimum of 10+ years experience in product development environment.
* demonstrated leadership of multiple teams and projects.
* have brought new products or services to the marketplace.
* excellent root cause problem-solving skills.
* experience in fea, fmea, doe, qfd, and dfma processes a plus.
* excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* ability and willingness to travel 10-20% of the time.
* fully bilingual.
* strong knowledge in design software (autocad, catia, solidworks).
