job descriptionabout this roleas a paid search marketing manager on udemy's paid search marketing team, you'll be a major contributor to udemy's global learner acquisition efforts. You will directly contribute to udemy's mission of improving lives through learning by reaching and inspiring new learners to upskill and advance in their careers with udemy.
your work will entail the day-to-day management of multiple paid search accounts within udemy's global advertising program. Throughout the year, you will manage a variety of paid search campaigns based on quarterly budget and performance goals, test hypotheses for program improvements and present results, and contribute to department-wide initiatives like new product release go-to-market strategies or integrations of new marketing technologies. You'll get the chance to work directly with marketing leaders and cross-functional teams like engineering, data science, analytics, and creative to help grow and expand your program's learner base globally, often in multiple languages.
what you'll be doingcreate, optimize, and scale at least $3 million in annual paid search investment across google ads and microsoft ads to maximize program growth.monitor, analyze, and report on channel performance using a diverse set of in-platform and internal metrics; present insights to internal stakeholders and upward to leadership.design, set up, and evaluate experiments on messaging, targeting, and site experience testing; suggest next steps and future tests based on learnings.partner with product, engineering, and decision science teams to improve eventing signals, marketing measurement, automation, and ad-level or on-site personalization.collaborate with acquisition channel managers on cross-channel strategies.manage relationships with ad agencies, google, and bing account teams.what you'll have4 or more years managing paid search accounts.experience with accounts spending $250k+/month.previous experience collaborating with at least one other paid advertising team: paid social, programmatic, affiliate, content syndication, media planning, etc.global campaign management experience, ideally in multiple languages.proficiency using spreadsheets; familiarity with advanced systems like google data studio, google analytics, mode, tableau, or clarisights.experience with various campaign types: search, demand gen, video (youtube), app, or performance max.we understand that not everyone will match each of the above qualifications.
