*job details*what do you do?*join us in the procurement execution center as a buyer ii. This role is responsible for the sourcing and purchasing of professional services globally and works closely with the category manager to execute the global category strategy through rfps, market intelligence, supplier management, and cost savings initiatives.*how will you do it?*- supporting category strategy development by researching category and market intelligence to understand market conditions and identify potential vendors and that meet the organization's needs.- realizing and drives initiatives to improve our yoy savings and trade working capital (twc) for professional services.- managing the procurement process for professional services, including issuing rfps, reviewing proposals, evaluating vendor responses, and making recommendations to the category management team and internal stakeholders.- maintaining and evaluate relationships with existing and potential vendors by analyzing supply business continuity (sbc), environmental, social, and governance (esg), and supplier scorecards.- managing vendor contract lifecycle (clm) and monitor contract and sow compliance.- support and drive a standard contract management practice and standard contract terms throughout the global logistics organization.- keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that the organization is obtaining the best possible value for the professional services category.- researches the category and provides market intelligence to the category manager, to enable economics analytics (for example understanding the impact of labor inflation in the category).- reviewing ariba purchase requisitions and ensures compliance with global procurement policy.- other procurement duties as assigned.*qualifications*:- bachelor's degree in related field.- *+3 years of relevant experience in indirect procurement *. Prior experience in *transportation and logistics is preferred.*:- deep understanding of rfx processes. Good understanding of a source-to-pay process, including knowledge of category management principles.- ability to perform spend analysis and rationalize tail spend.- clm principles. Demonstrate ability and experience reading/negotiating sows and contracts.- strong ms office skills required. Advanced excel (index/match, array formulas) or vba is preferred.- microsoft power apps (power automate, power apps, power bi) or other data tools are a plus.- strong analytical skills and business judgment.
