we are currently seeking a business development representative to support our client’s growth in the north american market. This role combines business development and account management, offering a dynamic opportunity to drive new business while nurturing long-term client relationships.
as a business development representative, you will be responsible for:
* generating new business opportunities through proactive research, networking, and outbound outreach.
* managing existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying growth opportunities.
* presenting and promoting our client's products and services to potential customers with confidence and clarity.
* developing and executing strategic sales plans to consistently meet or exceed targets.
this is a proactive, customer-facing role that requires excellent communication skills and a strong grasp of sales techniques and account management best practices.
key responsibilities:
* identify, qualify, and develop new sales leads.
* serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
* build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
* develop a deep understanding of each client’s business objectives to offer customized solutions.
* conduct regular follow-ups to ensure ongoing satisfaction and uncover opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
* collaborate with internal teams to ensure the timely and effective delivery of solutions.
* collect and analyze customer feedback to help improve products and services.
* maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and customer interactions in the crm system.
* provide regular insights and reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer needs to the management team.
the role will be of interest to individuals who have a positive mindset about sales and strive to perform at a high standard. You will know that there are levels of behaviour that are expected of a professional salesperson. You will be able to work as part of a team but also be able to be very disciplined whilst working remotely. You will have a keen interest in sales processes, enabling systems and sales techniques.
structure
* you will be based in guadalajara, mexico.
* full-time position: monday to friday (40 hours/week).
* hybrid work model with flexible office/home-office days to promote well-being and work-life balance.
* we are looking for candidates available for immediate start.
minimum job requirements
* excellent/fluent communication skills in english, written and spoken.
* experience working for the us/canadian markets is considered desirable.
* bachelor’s degree in a business background is desirable but we are open to evaluating other academic backgrounds in conjunction with relevant work experience.
* some experience or transferable skill from a previous role related to a sales, marketing or sales support role.
* experience of working to time-based targets.
* experience of agile learning (what have you done that shows you can be successful in learning and becoming a sales professional).
