the manager, supply chain & ops will report into the senior director, strategic execution & systems. In this role, the person will have the opportunity to directly impact the success of genie’s top & bottom line growth through developing, improving, and sustaining genie’s global supply chain & operations processes. This role will act as the process leader for the relevant supply chain & operations scope. In this responsibility, this person will own the prioritization and development of supply chain & ops capabilities, programs, and project sequencing with business leadership. In this capacity, this person will be responsible for partnering with global & regional supply chain, materials, manufacturing & ops, and project leadership to successfully deliver projects and drive change management. As part of this delivery, this person will develop strong connections with these internal & external customers to identify and prioritize strategic capabilities & continuous improvement at both the global & regional levels.
*responsibilities and scope*:
- shape and deliver global supply chain & ops strategy, enabling capabilities, and program execution; tirelessly focus on execution, results, and continuous improvement
- lead the development of the process excellence framework for the supply chain & ops group; help develop the definition, standards, and execution of measurement, audit, and improvement
- develop global supply chain & ops process team with structured global, regional, and local leaders
- drive the deployment of industry leading portfolio, program, and project tools & deployment
- develop and lead a team of 1-3 business process analysts focused on process excellence, continuous improvement, and business transformation enablement
- support the development of global supply chain & ops management system; including policies, key performance indicators, and process metrics
- develop and maintain supply chain & ops policy, standard work, and decision-making framework to drive successful implementation, results, and sustainment. Ensure the policies are understood and adhered to by global stakeholders.
- directly provide formal and informal training & coaching to relevant functional and project stakeholders
*basic qualifications*:
- bs or ba degree in business, supply chain, operations, or engineering
- 5-7 years of increasing experience in supply chain, operations, process excellence, or related disciplines
- proven track record of leading teams and delivering large projects
- ability to work in a matrix environment and build strong relationships by being transparent, reliable, and delivering on commitments
- demonstrated expertise in critical thinking, influence, negotiation, problem solving, and strategic thinking
- demonstrated ability to influence areas not under direct control to achieve objectives and effectively communicate challenging goals and objectives
*preferred qualifications*:
- masters or advanced degree in supply chain, business, or engineering preferred
- 3-5 years of portfolio, program, or project management experience; experience with both agile and traditional project methodologies
- demonstrated experience with lean or six sigma methodologies
- experience in developing and implementing world class supply chain & operations processes and managing them through a global project management organization
- commercial exposure and experience in the industrial vertical; experience working in a fast paced, reputable global manufacturing company
