purpose of the job
manage a group of 5~7 payroll accountants to ensure payroll process is completed on time in order to disburse the respective payment to the several zf locations’ employees.
responsibilities
1. supervise weekly payroll calculations.
2. coordinate run calculation of special payroll processes (christmas bonus, profit sharing, saving fund, etc).
3. running of appropriate reports and distribution of the payroll to the employees.
4. review earnings, reconciliations, deductions, and benefits calculations.
5. answer all zf plants and their employees’ questions concerning the payroll and individual payslips.
6. ensure compliance with mexican federal and state laws regarding payroll.
7. make sure that time and attendance data and other payroll interfaces are correct.
8. ensure all reporting deadlines are achieved and zf accounting policies and practices adhered to.
9. coordinate the correct calculation of payroll taxes (sua, state, federal).
10. experience using the sua program and employees annual tax return calculations.
11. prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages, including gl reconciliations related to payroll.
12. ensure all policies & procedures are updated & documented as necessary.
required skills and experience
1. accounting, administration or finance degree required.
2. the ideal candidate with 4-6 years' experience supervising payroll process.
3. knowledge of specific, legal or local payroll tax requirements.
4. outstanding customer service, and continuous improvement are essential.
5. knowledge of people soft, qad and sap system preferred.
6. resilient and able to work under pressure to reach project goals.
7. must be able to effectively communicate and interact with various levels of operating unit and headquarters personnel.
8. willingness to travel to different zf sites within the region.
9. strong experience in internal controls.
10. the successful candidate must have high legal and ethical standards.
11. ability to multi-task and set priorities.
