*position summary*:
the quality manager is primarily responsible for the follow up of new program introductions and continuous improvement initiatives for the manufacturing plant. Develops and implements the organization's quality strategy, as well as lead quality control and quality assurance professionals. Responsible to drive quality assurance systems and programs to ensure the specifications of the delivered product are met; leads the quality assurance effort for the site to meet demanding customer requirements and deliver operating profit; maintain close relationship with technical service, site leadership, suppliers and customers to ensure process improvements are in place for improving the product and process; act as a liaison in career development planning of associates. Leads long term quality assurance vision, embrace new product introductions, formalized policies/procedures, and establish performance metrics.
*knowledge & experience requirements*:
- bachelor's in engineering related field - preferred
- min 10 years of experience in qa management position
- quality/manufacturing/process improvement experience in a manufacturing facility
- required asq certified quality engineering and/or certified quality manager
- highly knowledgeable on iatf, iso, apqp, ppap & 8d’s methodology, npi experience
- bilingual spanish-english

*main responsibilities*:
- define appropriate processes, operating procedures, and measure controls for existing and new product launch to meet quality standards and ensure compliance with business quality policy to provide high-quality products to customers.
- coordinate quality activities across the business/division while focusing on the areas of customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, safety, environment, quality and costs.
- leads the inspection of all incoming parts from supply chain companies to meet the quality standards and systems required
- monitor strict attachment to apqp procedures. Deliver ppap on time for the designated new projects. Conduct regular reviews with project team to monitor development of product and process design
- management representative of the npi and continuous improvements. Key quality indicators for the organization, measure effectiveness of the system
- conduct capability assessments, quality planning, audits and statistical analysis to track and continually improve quality at every process step
- evaluate corrective and preventive actions for any non-compliance to the quality system
- conducts management meetings with product assurance staff to establish, delineate, and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments and to establish responsibilities and procedures to achieve quality goals
- achieves and maintains iso certification, including the development and evolution of the quality manual, control plans, regular audits, standards and quality procedures
- plans, develops, implements and promotes the use of spc, lean tools, problem solving methodology, design of experiments, and preventative quality methods
- visits and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality, capacity of vendor to meet orders, and vendor quality standards
- analyzes, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, economic trends, and design and development of new products for consideration by other members of management team

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per month
