*job overview*:
supervise quality control activities to determine product conformity to customer specification through effective inspection and test in accordance with the project quality plan. Identify non-conformity and take appropriate action to control / prevent them. Conducts qa audits as applicable to verify the product follows project specification and procedures.
*key tasks and responsibilities*:
- act as the subject matter expert (sme) of electrical and instrumentation quality inspection requirements
- support project quality management team in implementing quality management system
- implementation of quality management system for the project and initiate proactive approach through quality awareness programs to ensure compliance
- evaluate reported product and/or system non-conformance, consult with quality assurance manager and principal quality ops specialist (cqm), document the findings, establish the root cause, and support project in obtaining a resolution
- review of project scope of work and quality requirements, develop project inspection & test plan, inspection procedure, qc test equipment calibration procedure, and obtain approval from the project inspection team
- interpretation of applicable code specifications and customer requirements. Any deviation deemed necessary to be raised with manager assurance and principal quality ops specialist (cqm) to address it through approved change management process such as sqs, tq, concession request, waivers etc.
- supervise quality inspectors and provide guidance to help them achieve proper judgment when making observation of assigned task
- assess quality inspectors’ performance, behavior and consistency when handling quality inspection task
- evaluate and identify the trainings and programs required for e&i quality inspectors to help them improve their competency and performance quality
- exercise proactive approach in prevention of a problem by interface with field engineers and customer representative of the project in conjunction with quality assurance manager
- support offshore operations coordination and ensure adequacy of quality control, and required resources including manpower and materials are in place
- conduct internal audits as applicable to assess the effectiveness of quality system outlined in project quality plan and inspection test plan
- support principal quality ops specialist (cqm) for the implementation of quality readiness review program of the project
*essential qualifications and education*:
- 3 year electrical / instrumentation engineering degree / diploma or equivalent
- 12+ year’s quality control or related experience on electrical and instrumentation inspection.
- 5+ years directly relating to supervision.
- iso 9001:2015 qms internal auditor
- compex ex01 - ex04
- qc manpower planning, auditing, project supervision
