the opportunity
flywire is seeking a strategically minded business development manager (bdm), agent partnerships in mexico to focus on identifying and signing up new agent partners, in addition to developing deeper relationships with existing clients. This role involves gaining a deep understanding of potential partners' businesses and aligning flywire’s products and services with their objectives. The goal is to build new partnerships, grow existing relationships, increase the utilisation of our platforms, and ultimately drive revenue.
reporting directly to the director, agent partnerships, anz, sea and latam, the bdm, agent partnerships will work closely with sales, implementation, and client optimization teams to execute strategies designed to drive growth, uncover new business potential, increase revenue, and ensure our partners have the best payment experience and support in the industry.
in this role, you will represent a key driver of growth potential within the overall mexico business. You will focus on signing up new agent partners, identifying growth opportunities within the market, and maximising revenues through flywire’s services and integrations. You will also help identify strategic partnerships for the mexico market, including growth and optimization strategies for our new partner network. You will focus on the execution of strategies and tactics designed to increase user growth, support existing clients, improve retention, identify opportunities for improvement, develop local agent networks, provide accurate and timely issue resolution and assure edu agents understand flywire’s platform.

* execute and manage the overall agent partnership strategy for mexico, aligned with the global strategy.
* become an expert user of the flywire agent platform
* assist and manage on-boarding process for new agents and partners (f2f or virtual.)
* gain a clear understanding of potential agents’ goals at an organisational, branch, and counsellor level and ensure these are documented in strategic partner-specific account plans
* provide support to existing agents and partners. Be the ‘go to’ person in country for inquiries and questions.
* work with agents and partners to increase payer utilisation and growth.
* guide/advise partners on industry best practices and trends.
* manage proposal writing, contract negotiations, and onboarding of new partners.
* maintain meticulous organisation and prioritisation to ensure momentum on activities.

* identify and map flywire’s wallet share of new payment flow opportunities and unearth new opportunities for flywire products and services
* evaluate the role of technology and innovation in account management within the mexico agent partnership market. Identify innovative solutions and technologies that can enhance partner engagement, streamline processes, and improve overall customer experience.
* adopt a data-driven approach, working alongside client analysts, to spot potential risks before they materialise and create a ‘no drama’ environment.
* identify new opportunities and work closely with senior leadership in the agent partnership team to identify and execute strategies in mexico.
global collaboration
* project management: delivery and implementation of our solutions, working together with our product, technical, and operational departments (client success and implementation teams, etc.).
* foster global collaboration and connectivity within flywire, breaking down geographical barriers.
* collaborate with sales and marketing on additional efforts (forums, partner referrals, etc.).
* organise materials and attend events and expos where flywire is present.
team collaboration
* work closely with the sales team to ensure there is a clear understanding of objectives and escalate support requests or issues as appropriate.
* contribute to a successful culture by supporting each team member’s plan and strategy on their individual accounts to achieve kpis and revenue goals.
* collaborate on territory and account distribution among the sales team.
* participate in setting goals and kpis.

* keep up to date with product enhancements and present products and services to agents and partners in an informative, educational, and consultative manner.
* contribute to internal projects as assigned, building up specific areas of expertise that can benefit the whole team (where appropriate).
* track all activities and opportunities in crm and ensure database integrity, holding yourself accountable for having all activities and opportunity funnel tracked in crm.
* follow best practices to acquire and implement the flywire solution.
qualifications
here’s what we’re looking for:
* 5 years or more of experience in international education outbound.
* willingness to travel.
* excellent written and verbal communication skills in english and spanish, portuguese would be advantageous but not necessary.
* proficient presentation skills and ability to address all levels including senior executives.
* strong attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
* excellent interpersonal, analytical, and planning skills.
* problem solving and project management skills.
* the ability to work alone as well as part of a team.
* experience in the higher education industry (helpful).
* salesforce experience (a plus).
