you'll meet engineering and process criteria for assigned dram products, prioritize logistics, and develop issue resolution methodologies.
this role involves working with design and other engineering groups to apply layout techniques for digital and analog circuits.you will understand circuit design protocols, fab processes, mask generation techniques, and tapeout processes.
in this collaborative environment, you'll grow your skills and creativity while enabling a creative career path across worldwide geographies.your role and responsibilitiesdesign and develop ip layouts used in dram chips.perform layout verification, quality check, and documentation.deliver block-level layouts on time with acceptable quality.guide junior team-members in sub-block-level layouts and review their work.plan and document your layout, presenting material for global teams to review.collaborate with engineering teams worldwide to ensure the success of the layout project.qualification/requirements4+ years of experience in layout designs in advanced cmos process.expertise in ip layout development, physical verification, and complex design activities.knowledge of layout area and routing optimization, design rules, yield, and reliability issues.understanding of layout fundamentals: electro-migration, latch-up, coupling, crosstalk, ir-drop, parasitic analysis, matching, shielding, etc.adequate knowledge of schematics, interface with circuit designer, and cad team.layout effects on circuits: speed, capacitance, power, and area.excellent problem-solving skills for area, power, performance, and physical verification of custom layout.experience with cadence tools: virtuoso schematic editor, virtuoso layout l, xl & verification tools like mentor calibre.knowledge of coding and layout automation is a plus.education requirementbe or mtech in electronic/vlsi engineering or related / mechatronics.this role does not involve finalizing sales agreements, executing sales contracts, making definitive decisions regarding contracts, participating in pricing negotiations, or authorizing contracts.micron is an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions.
