Niles shared services is looking for a business systems analyst. As a business systems analyst, you'll play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing the technology systems at niles. You’ll work closely with our business systems manager to employ your expertise in software development, systems administration, and database management and ensure our systems are secure, efficient, and scalable. This is a remote position that will work cross-functionally with other departments.
this role is hired as a contractor, 100% remote and, payment in usd. English proficiency is required (c1 or above)
essential duties and responsibilities
* lead and support technical projects by gathering requirements, defining solutions, and coordinating with the software team to drive projects to completion.
* conduct regular research and analysis to identify opportunities to improve operations through technology and automation.
* assist in the design, development, and implementation of new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
* serve as a liaison between departments and technical teams to translate business needs into actionable solutions.
* analyze software and database performance issues; identify and implement timely resolutions.
* document business and technical processes, develop sops, and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
* design, build, and manage dashboards and reporting solutions in power bi, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and performance.
* support the ongoing development and optimization of the power bi environment, including defining security roles, monitoring system health, and applying best practices.
* develop and maintain sql queries, stored procedures, and data models for reporting and analysis.
* assist in the ongoing maintenance and optimization of microsoft access databases, including troubleshooting and redesign efforts for improved usability.
* provide support, training, and documentation to business users, including development of training videos and user guides.
* participate in test planning, execution, and user acceptance testing to ensure solution quality.
* stay current on emerging technologies, particularly within the microsoft ecosystem, and recommend relevant innovations.
* work with internal clients to understand operational needs, define success criteria, and contribute to continuous improvement of business systems and processes.
required qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in software development, database management, business systems analysis, or a similar technical role.
* demonstrated expertise in power bi development, including dashboard creation, dax, and data modeling.
* proficiency in sql with experience writing, maintaining, and optimizing scripts and stored procedures.
* familiarity with microsoft access database development and support.
* strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* effective written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* comfortable working independently in a remote environment as well as part of a collaborative team.
* ability to understand business processes and translate them into system requirements and solutions.
* strong organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* familiarity with microsoft azure, microsoft fabric, and modern data architectures.

* experience with trimble / vista viewpoint erp systems.
* familiarity with sugarcrm or salesforce crm.
* experience using microsoft power automate, power platform, copilot, or visual studio for automation and solution development.
* knowledge of devops practices and collaboration within agile or hybrid sdlc environments.
