Join the team enabling customers to develop servers based on the intel xeon processor family as a platform applications engineer (pae) in the data center pae organization.
This is a unique blend of technical and customer skills working with global it services and solutions companies.
This role provides technical support with a mix between product families, technologies, customers and documents.
*here are some of the activities this role will may cover*:
- resolve customers' technical issues and questions by working with intel and external engineering teams.
- represent customers' future needs to product development, planning and architecture teams.
- participate in customer visits and industry events and presentations.
Develop and present technical product training materials.
- develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
- create technical competitive analysis.
- provide customer board design review support.
- domestic and international travel as required.

*qualifications*
*minimum qualifications*:
- bachelor´s or master´s degree in electrical engineering, computer sciences, computer engineering or related (documentation related to bachelor’s degree completion will be required).
- experience with field-programmable gate array (fpga) device enabling or programming.
- strong debug skills including experience working with and analyzing output from test equipment such as the itp, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and protocol analyzers.
- 7+ years of experience working with one or more of the following: board design or post-silicon debug.
- 4+ years of experience in post-silicon validation, microprocessor architecture, chipset architecture, system architecture, platform design, circuit design, logic design, firmware, or software development.
*preferred qualifications*:
- broad understanding of intel xeon processor-based platforms and history with: microprocessor architecture, chipset architecture, system architecture, communication protocols, board design, pre-silicon validation, post-silicon validation, firmware, bios, and software.
- previous board design/development experience, with demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following disciplines: printed circuit board layout/routing and stack-up and/or schematic capture (cadence as preferred tool); signal integrity; and modeling/simulation.
- previous customer relationship, customer-ready collateral, and training experience.
- previous experience with intel field sales, field application engineers, customer support, and application design-in centers (adc).
