director, manufacturing engineering
*job responsabilities*:
- act as senior technical manufacturing interface across customer base
- support business development function; represent division’s technical capabilities in front of potential, new and existing customer presentations and tours.
- serve as technical prime on engineering audits, business reviews and other on or off-site functions
- strategically manage all manufacturing engineering assets related to product data receipt, conversion, programming, integration and product support, including but not limited to, product engineering, configuration, process engineering, advanced manufacturing methods and r&m.
- direct advanced and sustaining process engineering functions to ensure state-of-the-art capability and maximum availability to production.
- direct management of product engineering function to ensure group’s broad capability to contribute to customer product development and manufacture.
- lead strategic role in the planning process to oversee that manufacturing equipment is upgraded, replaced and purchased in support of operations requirements.
- develop and direct assembly labor quote tools and use.
- coordinate division input into corporate design for manufacture and test guidelines.
- participate and actively engage in operations staff activity.
- maintain state-of-the-art knowledge by keeping abreast of new manufacturing techniques and methods by way of contacts with other industries, current publications, consortium participation, advanced education and membership in professional societies/organizations.
- establish and maintain an effective employee unit through appropriate employee selection, training and development, motivation, performance evaluation, wage and salary treatment and the provision of a safe and healthy work environment.

*requirements*:
- engineering degree.
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- 5+ years in a leadership role.
- understanding of the total business operation to include material procurement, order entry, forecasting, invoicing, customer returns, inventory levels and on-time delivery.
- ability to drive solutions to complex planning issues.
- effective analytical and organizational skills.
- demonstrate leadership and people management skills for a competitive staff.
