Our optical communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry:leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.this segment is classified into two main product groupings : carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical:based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical:based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role purpose
the process engineering manager will be a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of process engineering within our organization. This position plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The process engineering manager will lead a team of skilled engineers to design, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing processes, ensuring the highest level of productivity, quality, and cost:effectiveness. The incumbent will collaborate with cross:functional teams to drive innovation, enhance product development, and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key responsibilities

team leadership: lead and manage a team of process supervisors and engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and professional growth.

process optimization: analyze existing manufacturing processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.

continuous improvement: drive continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing lean six sigma methodologies, kaizen events, and other process improvement tools to streamline operations and drive performance excellence.

new process development: collaborate with cross:functional teams to design and develop new manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless integration of advanced technologies and best practices.

cost management: monitor and control production costs, seeking innovative ways to reduce expenses while maintaining product quality and safety standards.

quality assurance: implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure products meet or exceed regulatory and customer requirements, striving for zero defects.

risk management: identify potential risks and challenges in manufacturing processes, implementing preventive measures to mitigate operational disruptions.

Experiences/education : required

bachelors or masters degree in engineering field (mechatronics, mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering or a related field)
