purpose of the job
the t&c engineer / technician is responsible for the execution and successful completion of the t&c activities related to a railway signaling subsystem (e.g.
ixl, atc, dcs, ertms, scada, ene,...) or telecommunications subsystem (e.g.
red, cro, vid, tli, son, tel, wifi, tetra,.).
this is must be achieved following project strategy, company policies (including ehs, railway safety, local regulation and professional standard) and project qcd targets.
carry out the test of trains in accordance with the testing procedure and as per the delivery schedule.
ensure that the site/project implements the ehs requirements in order to comply with the ehs indicators and the environment, health and safety regulations.
supervise and control all the activities related to environment, health and safety (ehs) and civil protection in coordination with project specialists.

main responsibilities

*prepares, t&c work*:
4m checklist to four weeks before starting the activity
materiel and available sites,
availability of design documents to perform the activities are complete and with the latest revision and previous as built of installation
availability of tools with the required calibration up to date,
availability of skilled and trained resources -ehs, special process,
- conq (cost of non quality) (internal & external to testing)
*ehs (environment, health, safety)*: zero fatality and severe injuries, under control.
coordinate ehs training, for all work places under control in order to prevent accidents and occupational illnesses.
investigate incidents and accidents.
implement the azdp directives
productivity required in line with the quality standards and in schedule (provide daily and weekly report for all the activities) to prim and prcom.

customer acceptance before commissioning
*responsibilities*:
understand in detail the acceptance criteria of the customer for the project/product.
supervise execution of installation on field and onboard and support the installation workers
carry out the systematic hand over from v&v sig & com.
respect with rigor the test procedures.
ensure that all serial test procedures are covered and the completion of test reports
manage the repair of failures as soon as they appear.
trace with precision and rigor each failure.
in case of unsolved deviations, escalate to the epu test manager.
propose improvement of the process.
work in a team spirit and transparency with its shift and the other shift.
*ensure interface and perfect working relationship with*: test engineering leader or engineer / technician, quality / installation workers.
escalate any non-up-to-date testing tools.
should be aware of their kpi's and performance on the respective kpi's.
develop t&c activities with other team members and following instructions from t&c leader, prcom and field operation manger.
main required competences
educational requirements
*mandatory*:
minimum license degree in engineering or equivalent (preferably electronics or embedded systems) or equivalent experience of 1 to 2 years in t&c field.
*desirable*:
scholarship dedicated in railway industry
experience
*mandatory*:
minimum 1-2 years' experience in industrial activities related to electrical, control, onboard communications & network systems within process industry, railways or factory automation
good level in english language
*desirable*:
good knowledge in it tools and smart devices
be familiar with high risk activities in association with electrical work and ehs requirements
competencies
