*job summary*:the *information systems project manager,* under direct supervision of a program manager, manages up to medium-sized projects or phase(s) of a larger project.the *information systems project manager* is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of the organization's strategic projects within the planned timeframe and scope.this position requires a combination of technical proficiency, proven project management skills, strong communication skills and a deep understanding of the automotive finance industry.
*responsibilities*:- identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks such as detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders.- work with the information systems manager, program manager and stakeholders to ensure project goals are in line with business objectives.- conduct kick-off to start the project and review the overall project plan and gain consensus.- must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.- manages changes to project scope, project schedule and project costs.- direct and coordinate the activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.
this includes all organization business and external vendor activities as well.- monitor project activities, ensuring the currency, quality, and integrity of information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" across the organization.- ensure that project goals are achieved.- typically manages one or more projects that have:- have a team size of up to 10 members- are a duration from 6 to 12 months- a moderately aggressive timeline- a medium risk level assessment- an enterprise span of impact to an organization- includes many interfaces- 1 -5 functional disciplines / stakeholders- use existing means (tools, technology) to achieve goals with modified levels of innovation- utilizing waterfall and agile methodologies- routinely communicate up to sr manager and regionally regarding the status of specific projects- drive project team to foresee risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, continuously assess and implement mitigations in order to minimize the impact of risks on the project.- review project proposals or plans to develop a time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and the assignment of available departmental resources to various project phases*job knowledge and skills*:- language: english (advanced)- must have:- strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- excellent verbal and written communication skills.- ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.- nice have:- prior experience in the automotive or financial services industry is a plus
