- mechanical, mechatronic or chemical engineer
- master in mechanical design or material science highly desirable
- experience 5-10 years on manufacturing process
- experience driving complex issues solution using 8d tool
- experience with adhesive materials - basic knowledge of curing requirements, dispensing methods and bond strength assessment
- experience with forming processes, including tooling design, process optimization for a wide range of materials.
- knowledge of design for lean six sigma, specifically design of experiments training is highly desirable
- experience with mechanical test equipment (tensile/compression testing, hardness testing)
- knowledge of analytical methods for material characterization such us:
- differential scanning calorimetry (dsc)
- thermogravimetric analysis (tga)
- fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ftir)
- as well as microscopy techniques either optical or electronic (sem/edx)
- additional techniques as gc-ms, xrf, ion chromatography, melt flow index, etc.
are not required but valued.
- project management skills.
- proficiency with pc software excel, word, power point and project management.
- proficiency with pc software cad / solid work
- materials call outs at drawing and specs interpretation.
- knowledge on product validation process
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- experience in process design, improvement, documentation and control

- enhance the quality of products, reduce customer complaints, insure compliance with asd and customer's regulations, and provide adherence to internal quality and iso/iatf/iso14001 requirements.
- provide scientific and quantifiable approach to understanding and troubleshooting manufacture processes.
- analyze and investigate root causes for deviations in process, determine the impact to quality and performance and assist operations groups in establishing the corrective action.
- establish simple measurement procedures of parts, subassemblies, or coupons to test key performance attributes to quantify process changes.
this measurement should be used during process development, as a trouble shooting tool, and a means of assessing quality in the case of a deviation from the established process.
- design interim and long-term solutions to resolve complex process issues.
- provide project management from development to closure; including concept, feasibility, definition, design, installation and qualification.
- deliver projects on time, within budget, in accordance with project success criteria, through prioritization, allocation of resources, budgeting, planning and controlling.
- provide technical support for new products; interfacing with, mtde, r&d, asd, quality, operations, and other required groups
