borgwarnerpowerdrive systems is currently looking for "dynamic, resultsdriven" individual to join as senior embedded sw engineer to leadthe software development in basic software in san luis potosi.
thesenior embedded sw engineer and the team will focus on developingsoftware components for our electrical powertrain division and willbe on the forefront of engineering the latest technology electricalvehicle propulsion systems.
job duties: - lead the technicalaspects of the automotive embedded software development using powerelectronics in the assigned projects.
- guide the software team toproperly understand the requirements and develop efficient softwarearchitecture and detailed designs.
- identify, plan and estimate swdevelopment activities and tasks.
- elicit, analyze, decompose,develop, and manage software requirements.
- identify and define swcomponents, units, and document in the sw detailed design.
-develop software according to the detailed design, usingappropriate programming languages, methods, and techniques.
thisincludes model based design, auto-code generation, and embedded cprogramming.
- configure, develop and test autosar or equivalentbasic software stacks.
- plan, develop, and execute the sw unit andintegration tests according to the project test strategy for theassigned sw units.
- actively drive the definition andimplementation of the ehardware interfaces.
- debug and root causeissues in the related area of work.
- establish bi-directionaltraceability between sw work products.
- perform consistencychecks, and peer reviews of the sw work products.
- analyze andenhance the efficiency, stability and scalability of the software.- drive and support open communication with internal and externalteams.
- adhere to company's processes and procedures to meet thesw quality assurance requirements.

- workwith the stakeholders to ensure program goals are met, schedulesare maintained, and blockers are resolved.

requirements: - bachelor or master's degree in computerscience, software engineering, computer engineering (or foreignequivalent) - 6-8 years of overall experience in embedded softwaredevelopment, preferably in the automotive powertrain softwaredevelopment.
- strong experience in the embedded softwarearchitecture including micro-controllers, basic software,configuration tools from vector/mentor/eb tresos.
experience inautosar is preferred.
- strong experience in low-level driverdevelopment including verification/validation, debugging &troubleshooting.
- strong experience in process-oriented swengineering per aspice and iso26262.
- good experience with cprogramming language, model-based development tools like matlab,simulink and stateflow.
- functional safety background would be abig plus (steering, brakes, powertrain….).
- good familiarity withautomotive electrical systems (i.e.
brush/brushless dc motors,solenoids, relays, electromagnetic coils, switches), reading theecu schematics and hardware-software interfaces.
experience usingindustry standard development tools - e.g.
tool-chains, ides,configuration management such as polarion, jira and bitbucket.
