coordinate the transportation area of hershey mexico, guaranteeing that the safely distribution and transportation operational processes are efficient and effective, seeking to optimize the physical, human and financial resources of the company, providing quality and service on time to customers, and having adequate integration with other areas of the organization, always generating a healthy and competitive work environment.

responsibilities:
strategy
• develop and adjust the carrier capability depending on the season or shifts of the demand, if it is needed change or strengthen contracts with the suppliers.
• evaluate annual route rates to accomplish the transportation budget, ensuring the service level with our customers, and analyze critical routes where the company needs to implement a different strategy to cover the region.
• analyze the type of carrier depending on the volume of orders by customer through data analytics to ensure the proper distribution capability.
• negotiate with procurement´s support the annually renew carrier and cross dock contracts, putting in place all the outcome of the analysis, service experience and operation in this document.
• create, implement, and monitor all the strategies and efficiencies initiatives of the area to obtain operational savings and improve the service level
improvements
• constant benchmark with other regions (usa and brazil) to find any improvement in the operation, supplier, or reporting.
• continuous improvement on the service of cross dock and carriers through timely trainings, negotiations, bids, implementing technology, etc.
audits
• conduct regular audits to guarantee all practices align with corporate compliance and regulatory standards.
daily activities
• drive the transportation consolidation of each shipment as a priority, ensuring the integrity and quality of the products to the internal or external customer.
• oversee the schedules and routes and carrier allocation for sto and so to cover the demand properly and in a timely manner to avoid any bottle neck in the invoicing process.
• management of the transport budget approving the correct invoices from the suppliers depending on their weekly operation
• check operational metrics to control the efficiency of the carriers in the operation.
• synchronization of transport process with the outbound warehouses process to share relevant information for their visibility and ensure the timely appointment with the customers.
• resolve transportation-related issues and customer complaints in a timely manner.
• collaborate with other departments such as customer service, planning, warehouses, procurement, etc. to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
reporting
• follow up the daily invoicing and share the report in forums with different stakeholders such as customer service, finance, and commercial team.
• create the kpis carrier’s dashboard and lead the key actions to improve the operation
people
• lead and monitor team of transportation planners, maintaining oversight of their daily activities and fostering a culture of leadership and accountability.

experience:
