as we continue to grow, we are seeking a senior delivery manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the coo, this leader will play a critical role in guiding clients and engagement teams through their transformation journeys.
the senior delivery manager will oversee the successful delivery of pegasystems enterprise solutions, leveraging agile methodologies such as scrum, rup, and pegasystems delivery methodology. This role requires a consultative approach, thought leadership, and the ability to solve complex business and technology challenges.
ideal candidates will have experience driving high-impact projects across latin america, the caribbean, and the u.s. They must be comfortable collaborating across business and it functions at all levels of management. This position requires a leader who can influence, govern, and drive successful client engagements while managing all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle. Candidates should bring deep expertise in business process engineering, software development, and best practices in technology implementation to create meaningful client outcomes.
requirements and key responsibilities include:
consultative delivery leadership
* act as a trusted advisor to the client on all aspects of our engagement, leading communication and providing thought leadership in delivering quality solutions.
* must have experience with business process engineering and knowledge of techniques and approach to improve processes.
* must have complementary experience with technology solutioning in conjunction with the process engineering experience.
strategic leadership
* set the vision and strategic direction for the delivery function.
* ensure alignment of delivery goals with the overall company strategy.
operational strategy and optimization
* oversee and optimize delivery processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and high quality.
team management & development
* lead, mentor, and inspire delivery managers, project managers, and other delivery staff.
* foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
* act as a support figure and provide assistance to the members of the delivery practice when needed.
cross-functional collaboration
* work closely with other departments (e.g., sales, marketing, it) to ensure seamless project execution.
* align the delivery strategy with client needs and business priorities.
client relationship & account management
* build strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
* ensure client expectations are met and manage difficult situations or escalations effectively.
project management and project governance
* strong project management disciplines and best practices.
* delivering engagements to agree upon scope, timelines, budget, and quality standards, all while ensuring our customers achieve their expected roi.
* transparency with project risks and issues throughout the delivery cycle and driving project governance.
delivery implementation methodology expertise
* the ability to drive scrum or agile delivery experience is required.
* well versed in the sldc and able to drive to repeatable outcomes.
* strong understanding and command of the quality assurance process in conjunction with the software delivery process.
* experience in writing contracts (sow & msa) for the different types of contracts like time & material and fixed price contracts.
travel requirements
* for this role, you must be willing to travel between 25 - 75%, on a weekly basis based on client needs, within north america (usa/canada) and latin america/mexico. You may be located anywhere in the us, el salvador or mexico to assume this role but should have access to a major airport.
desired education, certification and experience
* full professional proficiency in english and spanish required.
* bachelor's degree in information technology or business administration required.
* 10 + years of technology implementation experience in a customer-facing environment.
* 10+ years of structured program/project experience on large/complex engagements.
* pega technical or business certification is preferable but not required.
* hands-on experience in agile methodologies including scrum.
* pmp and scrum certifications required.
* proven track record of successful delivery.
* experience leading members of the delivery practice or pmo.
