The *web platforms engineer* configures and maintains complex environments for the delivery of world-class web solutions developed by base22, employing industry standard web cms products such as drupal and wordpress, and flag dx platforms such as liferay dxp, hcl dx and oracle cloud content and experience, on traditional and cloud-based infrastructure.

responsibilities*
- set up and configure new instances, and maintain existing instances of industry standard web cms products such as drupal and wordpress, and base22 flag dx platform products, such as liferay dxp, hcl dx and oracle cloud content and experience.
- support the solutions team on the design, estimation and planning the platform and infrastructure streams for new and existing enterprise web projects.
- provide technical support to existing clients under specific slas and resolve technical issues originated in the platform layer.
- produce clear technical documentation about configurations, performance and best practices on existing and new web platform instances.
This is a hands-on engineering role, not an executive position.
The web platforms engineer has a career path towards the roles of dx platforms engineer, systems architect or solution architect.

qualifications*
- knowledge and experience on the following technical areas:
- drupal 7, 8 and 9 and wordpress, running on linux environments behind apache http server and nginx, and using mysql 5.7 and 8 and postgresql 9 and newer version databases.
- the tls protocol, how it works and how to leverage best cryptography practices on web server software such as apache http server and nginx.
- linux containers, using and configuring the docker engine and the kubernetes orchestration system for testing and development purposes, as well as for production purposes.
- ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- experience working with remote teams.
- strong communication and collaboration skills.
- fluid in both, english and spanish.
*education and experience*
- certifications on cloud-computing platforms such as aws, oracle cloud and microsoft azure, as well as certifications from other platform vendors such as oracle, redhat, liferay, hcl and ibm are a plus.
