hbca wcru is a dedicated second line of defense function in providing an independent and rigorous assessment of wholesale credit risk on a continuous basis.
this ongoing assessment/review by the hbca wcru team shall determine whether commercial credit risk is being identified, managed and reported within established guidelines.primarily responsible for performing reviews to assess the design and operation of internal controls related to the management of credit risk for assigned projects/processes and to ensure appropriate governance and oversight, to assess entire credit cycle risk strategies, policies, systems and risk team capabilities in wholesale credit risk.participate in assignments of varying complexity.
act as officer in charge (oic) for reviews of moderate to high complexity.ability to write clear, concise reports as well as internal and external communication.knowledge of credit risk processes, analytics and risk management practices.proven ability to work independently and as part of a team of professionals.supervise project staff to ensure that assignments are completed on a timely manner in accordance to department standards.effective people skills and strong team-work behavior.potential to lead, pro-active and ability to learn on the fly.ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure.requirements- bachelor´s degree in business administration, finance or a related field.- mba, mf or similar, and/or professional credentials such as cfa or cia would be highly valued.- 100% fluency in english (verbal and written).- advanced excel and database management would be a plus.- a minimum of six years of working experience in credit risk related fields (e.g.
