this position will be based in queretaro andwill be responsible for: purchasing materials, supplies, andservices at the most favorable terms for the organization and inalignment with regional strategies.
managing the vendor base insupport of all site level purchasing activities, ensuring thoseactivities are in alignment with regional strategies.
analyzingdemand and production capacities, deciding the appropriate actionplans, and then taking the necessary steps to ensure we meetcustomer commitments.
additionally, the buyer/planner will workwith purchasing, operations, quality, and suppliers on serviceissues, process improvement initiatives, and manage overallinventory levels to meet established targets.
identifying andimplementing continuous improvements to the supply chain process.as a buyer / planner, you will: - review purchasing requisitionsfor necessary approvals, convert requisitions to purchase orders,and issue pos to vendors - manage all day-to-day purchasingactivities in support of normal business operations - monitor andexpedite availability of materials and components to meetproduction schedules and customer requirements - coordinate thecreation of and changes to purchasing master data - assure supplieradherence to aptargroup purchase order terms and conditions,negotiating those terms when needed - develop material forecastsand provide to key suppliers - partner in, lead, and monitorquality initiatives that involve the vendor base - manage materialcosts within budgeted levels and works with vendors to look forways to maintain and reduce costs through formal supplier inventoryprograms (i.e.
kanban, consignment, vmi) - identify processenhancement and savings opportunities in support of specificprocurement objectives - review demand and apply appropriateplanning logic and strategy to ensure customer demands are metwhile managing inventory levels - monitor open po report and reviewwith departments of status of deliveries.
