the sales manager is responsible for leading the commercial strategies to achieve the company's sales and profitability objectives, ensuring the satisfaction of our customers. Lead the sales department to ensure technical and commercial support and be the company's liaison with the client and the corporate, as well as support to all departments in customer-related issues, promoting the well-being of the company.
requirements
* develop and implement sales strategies aimed at achieving the growth and profitability objectives established in the organization.
* inform the management team of the company's commercial strategies, as well as trends, plans for current and potential clients.
* manage commercial relationships with clients and suppliers, promoting loyalty and growth of key accounts.
* identify new business opportunities and lead rfq (request for quotation) processes for new projects.
* manage the correct and timely delivery of quotes to clients, as well as obtain feedback from them to share with the cost estimation area.
* negotiate contracts, prices, commercial terms and conditions of sale, guaranteeing compliance with agreements and the profitability of the company, as well as renegotiate terms and conditions in the event of significant economic changes.
* conduct internal analysis of costs, profitability and commercial viability of processes for new and current products.
* ensure that purchase orders are up to date.
* prepare sales forecasts and market analysis to provide information for decision making.
* provide technical support on issues related to the design, development and manufacturing of products or serve as a liaison with other areas to meet customer requirements.
* ensure that products and processes meet customer requirements (technical specifications, tolerances) and quality standards (ppap, apqp, imds).
* collaborate with the engineering area in solving technical problems, in the continuous improvement of products and process launches, engineering changes, new projects and activities that involve commercial issues.
* support feasibility studies for new businesses.
* kick off new businesses based on internal processes.
* support the purchasing, engineering, customer service, planning, quality and finance areas in matters that are commercially related or that affect the relationship with the client.
* follow up on specific requirements of each client related to the area.
* lead customer audits to ensure customer service and good results.
* monitor company performance through customer scorecards, compliance with kpis required by customers in terms of quality, delivery and service.
* lead the resolution of conflicts or claims, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining a healthy business relationship.
* support compliance with iatf 16949, iso 14001 and specific customer requirements.
* inform and report to general management and the vice president of sales any situation with customers that could have an impact on the business relationship.
education & experience requirements
* education: bachelor’s degree in administration, business, commerce, or similar. Industrial engineering, mechanics, mechatronics, or similar careers. Master's degree desirable.
* advanced english, able to maintain a business conversation, verbal & written.
* experience: minimum 5 years in similar positions in the manufacturing, metal stamping & assembly, preferably in the automotive industry.
* experience in account management with oems, tier 1 and tier 2.
* experience in cost and profitability analysis.
* experience in personnel management.
knowledge
* metal stamping processes, apqp, ppap, gd&t.
* iatf 16949 and iso 14001 standards.
* lean manufacturing systems, six sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
* imds steel standards.
* negotiation techniques.
* cost analysis.
* knowledge of project development.
* knowledge of manufacturing areas (stamping, welding or other manufacturing processes).
* knowledge of the automotive market (oem trends, tier 1, 2, 3 etc.).
* management of erp systems (plex, sap, oracle, etc.) and crm.
* knowledge of design software.
