the cellular performance institute, located in playas de tijuana, is looking for a bilingual employee labor relations specialist responsible for managing and enhancing employee relations across our organization.
We are considered by many to be the world's premiere facility for stem cell treatments and manufacturing. Our weekly stream of clientele include professional athletes from the ufc, nfl, mlb and more.
This role focuses on promoting a positive workplace environment, ensuring compliance with mexican labor laws and standards, and supporting both management and staff in resolving workplace conflicts. The specialist will play a key role in the development and implementation of labor relations strategies and policies to foster an environment of respect, fairness, and mutual understanding.
*responsibilities*:
- employee relations management:
- act as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to employees and management.
- investigate and resolve employee complaints, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
- promote and maintain positive relationships between employees and management.
- collaborate with management to address workplace concerns, improve morale, and reduce turnover.
- labor law compliance:
- ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, and other standards.
- stay up-to-date on labor law changes and advise management on necessary updates to policies or procedures.
- policy development and enforcement:
- develop, review, and update employee relations policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure alignment with current regulations and best practices.
- provide training to staff and management on hr policies, labor law, and conflict resolution.
- dispute resolution & conflict management:
- mediate disputes between employees and management to achieve amicable resolutions.
- provide coaching and conflict resolution training to managers and staff to prevent issues from escalating.
- collaborate with legal counsel and hr leadership on employee disputes, investigations, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- performance management & disciplinary action:
- provide guidance to supervisors on performance management, including disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans (pips), and terminations.
- ensure all disciplinary actions and terminations are handled in accordance with legal requirements and internal policies.
- employee engagement & retention:
- work closely with hr leadership to assess employee satisfaction and engagement through surveys, focus groups, and feedback channels.
- implement strategies to enhance employee retention and workplace satisfaction.
- participate in employee recognition and wellness programs to improve the overall employee experience.
- qualifications:
- bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, or related field required.
- minimum of 3-5 years of experience in employee relations or labor relations, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- proficiency in both english and spanish languages.
- strong knowledge of labor laws and hr best practices.
- knowledge of quality systems.
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
- strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.

Schedule:
- full-time, monday to friday 8am - 5:30pm, with occasional after-hours or weekend work as needed.
*salary*:
- $31,081.20 monthly before taxes
