We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated superintendent of production to lead and coordinate all production activities at our guadalajara plant. Your primary objective will be to ensure that production objectives are consistently met in terms of cost, quality, reliability, and delivery requirements. You will play a crucial role in optimizing resources and driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.
our team:
you will be part of the global shared plants (gsp) division, working closely with the operations and engineering teams. Our division is dedicated to maintaining high standards of production efficiency and quality while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
what you will do:
1. direct and coordinate all production activities through subordinate supervisors.
2. ensure production goals are met with respect to cost, quality, reliability, and delivery timelines.
3. optimize human and material resources on the production floor.
4. collaborate with purchasing, master planning, and production planning departments for effective production scheduling and work order releases.
5. work closely with new product development and process engineering to ensure timely introduction of new products and processes.
6. implement lean manufacturing principles and manage inventory control on the production floor.
7. apply statistical controls and problem-solving tools such as 8d and 5 why’s to resolve production issues.
who you are (basic qualifications):
1. bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, or similar.
2. minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
3. proven experience in managing and controlling materials on the production floor.
4. demonstrated ability to manage personnel and optimize human resources.
what will put you ahead:
1. previous experience in a similar environment, preferably in the harness, pcb, molded cables, or fiber optics industry.
2. knowledge of iso 9000, qs 9000, and ts 16949 standards.
3. experience with lean manufacturing, including kanban and poka yoke.
4. competency in statistical control and line balancing (time studies).
5. advanced proficiency in microsoft office tools (word, excel, powerpoint).
6. excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
7. strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
8. ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
