As an engineer, you bring hands on experience in machinery design concepts, robotic, plc and vision programming, safety and global standards. With this knowledge you are comfortable working in a team environment to create the requirements and specifications in order to build world-class equipment.*detailed description*:- concept and architect automation stations and assembly lines- analysis of inputs and the creation of user requirements in order to determine feasibility of using one or more machines to carry out sequential operations in known process time- must be capable of designing systems from sketches or verbal concepts- perform engineering calculations with respect to cycle time, strength of materials, speeds, horsepower, temperature, pressure, force, etc. as related to machine and tool designs- analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine requirements in the development of equipment to meet process and products specifications- produce working drawings, models and bills of materials for equipment, in collaboration with suppliers- work with large global automation integrators to optimize systems from technical information and specifications- analyze designs and systems for compliance to applicable standards (i.e. Ce or customer specific)- communicate all requested design changes to various teams- responsible for project management and on time, on budget project execution including communicating progress on project tasks to site/regional stakeholders- formalize and update drawing documentation- liaise with fabricators, machinists, toolmakers and electricians in the completion of equipment and resolving problems
