The senior manager of engineering is responsible for the integrity and security of the hispam towers infrastructure (mexico, colombia, chile, peru, costa rica, paraguay, and argentina), guaranteeing resource optimization strategies, maintaining standards, processes, systems, and procedures to ensure engineering effectiveness according to local legislation and business needs, and providing key performance results to stakeholders.
essential functions:
* ensure the integrity and security of tower assets for hispam, according to local legislation and regulations, as well as internal guidelines and procedures to support business sustainability.
* define and implement resource optimization strategies, aiming to save capex on the construction of new sites and/or sharing of existing towers, which directly impacts the roi of each new contract.
* develop and maintain standards, guidelines, manuals, processes, systems, and procedures to ensure engineering effectiveness and compliance according to market laws, regulations, and business needs.
* lead engineering team using kpis such as capacity plan report to achieve team and local markets goals related to engineering services and cost, keeping consistent engineering design criteria.
* set goals and objectives for the engineering team in concordance with the engineering team based in brazil.
* work with the brazil engineering team in a matrix base, reporting technically to this team, assuming their extensive experience and knowledge of the business.
* define and manage priorities and deadlines in accordance with each market’s needs. Distribute workload to the engineering team by setting job priorities and balancing workload according to skill set and business needs.
* responsible for evaluating, reviewing and approving technical solutions and projects, to extend and reinforce structures and foundations according to committed cycle times.
* encourage the search for new technologies and technical solutions; foster a culture of continuous improvement, strengthen the company’s engineering expertise and develop efficiency improvements by sharing best practices.
* will be required to conduct periodic training to support compliance and other training initiatives and requirements.
* coordinate triage and tower modification approvals through established kpis with local markets and monitor for compliance.
* ensure that all hispam tower structures have a risk classification and report high-risk towers to local markets, providing objective instructions on how to fix them and guaranteeing the appropriate follow-up until a complete solution is achieved.
* develop and ensure that hispam regional tower vendors use the company’s tower design criteria, which were developed in conjunction with the brazil team.
* prepare effective presentations to support the executive decision-making process and communicate recommendations and projects status to the stakeholders.

* 10+ years of structural engineering experience in towers and foundations.
* 4+ years of experience in reinforcement solutions.
* 8+ years of experience in eia and aisc, aci codes.
* 8+ years of project manager experience managing teams.
* 6+ years of computer experience.
* 4+ years of civil engineering degree required / mba preferred.
