This position is in charge of the management of cemex reinsurance companies (also called "captives") and of managing the databases of the risk management department.
also, the position provides support to the general activities of the insurance and risk management area.
*main responsibilities*:- present relevant financial information to the reinsurance companies' shareholders and board of directors.- analyze cemex reinsurance companies' performance and results on a monthly basis.- analyze, review and propose appropriate levels of risk taken by the captives based on loss ratios and trends.- provide support to the general activities of the insurance and risk management area.- participate in the renewal of cemex insurance programs by analyzing the new trends in the insurance market.- implement the risk management system to digitalize and manage all the historical claims data.- coordinate with comptrollership and treasury the reinsurance companies' financial reporting.- support mexico risk management with expat program.
*position challenges*:- liaise with cemex comptrollership team and barbados accounting team the captives records.- meet renewal timelines and manage sensitive data/cases- understand the insurance market.
*qualifications*:any requirement for this role, you may divide these into:- language proficiency: english 100%- academic background: finance, engineering, accounting, administration and any other related field.- *areas of expertise (specify ideally how many years of prior experience is needed per each area of expertise): 2 years of experience managing financial information and databases,*:- technical skills required by role: solid knowledge of corporate finance and accounting, microsoft office, excel, power bi and data visualization tools would be a plus.
experience in risk management would be a plus.- soft skills: communication, presentation skills, management, initiative.
