general summary:
the supply chain manager is responsible for supply chain infrastructure designs, landed costs of
import/export logistics, synchronization of supply with demand, including production planning
and control.
responsible for inventory management and distribution, including warehousing,
transportation, and import/export processes.
principal duties, responsibilities and authority:
- operates within the system and policy structure required by corporate, division and juarez
- plant policies.
- oversight of purchasing and order processing functions.
- oversight of continuous replenishment and vendor-managed inventory programs, production
- control, and master scheduling.
- may develop policies, procedures, systems, and programs to meet objectives and ensure
- continuous improvement in production, inventory, and distribution.
- may develop detailed proposals, give presentations, and communicate across the supply
- chain to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met.
- may contribute to data analysis and decisions regarding vendor incentives and price
- protections.
- ensure cost-effective inventory levels.
- coordinate investigation and make recommendations on "make-buy" analyses.
- assist in the evaluation of alternate material and process changes with design engineering
knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- ba / bs degree in business, logistics, or marketing.
advanced degree preferred.
- apics certification or training in supply chain management(highly desired)
- working knowledge of forecasting methods and techniques.
- knowledge of supply chain management.
- eight years experience in a manufacturing environment, with three years of experience
- supervising cross-functional teams and directing reports.
- working knowledge of jci systems and ability to use microsoft office.
- working knowledge of other disciplines, such as manufacturing, engineering, marketing,
- quality control, and accounting.
- effective oral and written communication skills; must be able to effectively present
- information and respond to questions from individuals and teams; must be able to convey
- information to multiple levels of staff and management.
- bi-lingual english/spanish (written/verbal) preferred
- able to travel.
