Position summary
the focus of the sales manager is on selling expedited logistical solutions to clients, prospecting for new business, and managing both new and existing accounts. Strategies may include cold-calling, lead generation through relationship selling processes, regular client visits, attending industry-specific trade shows and conferences, and phone sales.
the sales manager must establish and maintain customer relationships, assess client-specific needs, and promote the services of the company to achieve sales revenue goals.
essential duties and responsibilities
* develop new business opportunities, including customer visits and developing relationships within the defined vertical.
* prepare and present proposals, make recommendations for new services, extensions, or enhancements, and overcome objections to closure.
* execute the account strategy.
* ensure that all account plans, service level agreements, standard operating procedures, organizational charts, account information, and related documentation are current and on file.
* report to management and clients on kpis to track client activity.
education and experience
* bachelor's degree in supply chain management, international business, operations management, or an equivalent combination of logistics, air freight, or supply chain experience required.
* 2 – 5 years of experience selling expedited logistics services to the automotive industry.
* must have experience selling expedited logistics services; next flight out (nfo), onboard carry (obc), and charter services, as well as understanding air freight operations.
* must be a highly motivated self-starter with the desire to acquire additional responsibilities.
* must exhibit excellent communication skills at all levels within the customer.
* must possess excellent customer service skills.
* basic to intermediate experience using windows operating system and microsoft software applications is required.
* must live in querétaro.
