Job responsibilities
* under the direction of sourcing category manager, develops and executes category sourcing strategies, including development and execution of rfx (request for proposal, quote or information).
* contribute to the development of annual pipeline of sourcing initiatives.
* manage key supplies to ensure that all contractual obligations are met, initiatives are performing against business case and that issues and disputes are resolved in a timely manner.
* analysis of multiple vendors.
* be able to negotiate to get the best deal that satisfies employees from ul.
* creation of purchase orders.
* build and enhance relationships with strategic suppliers and internal business stakeholders.
* develop strong understanding of oracle payment and graphite onboarding processes.
minimum requirements
* university degree (equivalent to a u.s. Bachelor’s degree) in business administration or a related field plus 5-10 years of directly related work experience in a purchasing role.
* certified purchasing manager certification ideal.
* experience and proficiency with procure to pay solutions or applications.
* organized and detail-oriented.
* ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of completion.
* demonstrated ability to support high value medium complexity projects, initiatives.
* demonstrated ability to support high-value medium complexity sourcing projects to solve complex problems.
* demonstrated ability to support supplier management programs and processes with mission critical suppliers.
* demonstrated ability to analyze spend data and supplier proposals to do comparisons.
* detailed knowledge of sourcing and supplier management practices and procedures; authoring commercial contracts with review from manager.
* ability to interpret and summarize contractual terms for manager review.
* strong process management, organizational and effective time management / project management skills.
