job description
bosch is looking for a supplier quality engineer for its purchasing area. In this team, the engineer is actively involved in working with component suppliers and interacts with the rest of the organization to meet production schedules using components that meet both bosch and automotive industry specifications/standards and minimize overall negative impacts associated with component issues.
* management of supplier claims process, including timely organization of containment actions to ensure availability of certified parts into manufacturing.
* follow-up of defect cost process/recovery and concessions management as per process.
* support on ppap process and on supplier quality improvement programs.
* working with multidisciplinary teams within bosch and external organizations.
* quality audits with suppliers & customers as leader, participant, or representative (internal and external).
* support with cip projects.
* follow compliance and applicable automotive requirements and standards.
* problem solving lead / participation.
* ensure appropriate sorting operations (layout, conditions, inspectors training, proper application of failure catalogues, correct counting and segregation of ok and nok parts, quarantine of nok parts, sap feeding/ monitoring, coordination with external sorting company if needed).
* pbi developments and update (scrap, costs, etc.) and task force leading.
* set up/ tracking & improvement of local kpis & purchasing process.
qualifications
* able to work under pressure.
* fluent in english.
* proficient knowledge in problem-solving methods (8d, ishikawa, 5 whys, proso, shainin, kepner & trigo, 6 sigma or equivalent).
* core tools (ppap, apqp, msa, spc, fmea).
* intermediate knowledge in quality standards (iso9000, iatf 16949, vda6).
* basic/intermediate knowledge of manufacturing processes.
* basic knowledge of customer requirements.
* basic knowledge in sap and automotive customer quality requirements.
* intermediate knowledge in gd&t (geometric tolerances).
* rigorous.

* physically located majority of time at guanajuato location, but weekly & frequent trips to queretaro, toluca, etc. (address: parque industrial colinas de apaseo, 38160 apaseo el grande, gto., mexico).
