job overview:
we are seeking a highly organized and motivated office manager and accountant to join our team in guadalajara. You will oversee the daily operations of our office, manage financial transactions and records and provide support to our remote accountants.
you will also work with our director of marketing and recruiting as required to assist with recruiting future remote accountants and liaise with university officials.
key responsibilities:
office management and support :
1. oversee daily office operations, ensuring an efficient and productive environment for our team of remote accountants.
2. manage office supplies and equipment.
3. act as the main point of contact for all office-related matters, handling inquiries and coordinating communication.
4. supervise and support our remote accountants.
5. organize team events, training sessions, and professional development activities to strengthen team bonds.
6. assist with recruiting bachelor of accounting students to join our team as remote accountants.
accounting and financial management :
1. prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports to ensure compliance with canadian and mexican accounting standards.
2. process invoices, track expenses, and ensure all payments are made in a timely manner.
3. reconcile accounts, handle general ledger entries, and maintain financial integrity across all transactions.
4. assist with tax preparation, ensuring compliance with canadian and mexican regulations.
qualifications:
1. proven experience as an accountant, preferably within accounting firms or similar organizations.
2. strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and office management processes.
3. experience with accounting software (contalink and quickbooks preferred) and proficiency with microsoft office suite.
4. exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
5. strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high level of proficiency in english.
6. a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
7. experience working in an international or cross-cultural environment is a plus.
