*what do you do?

join us in the procurement execution center (pec) as a contract manager.
in this role, you will be responsible for supporting data analysis, rfq's, statement of work reviews as an extended member of the technology procurement team.
as a contract manager for the pec, you will ensure adherence to our standard terms and conditions and rate cards.
you will be responsible for leading software licensing and service negotiations, ensuring jci protections and best in class pricing.
in addition, you will work closely with the category management team to leverage benchmarking data, understand market conditions and maximize value by obtaining cost savings, analyzing cost models, managing demand and reducing cost leakage across jci.
*how will you do it?

- conduct statement of work reviews to ensure best practices and compliance to jci process
- lead software licensing negotiations, partnering with legal and category management
- analyze spend data and identify opportunities to standardize and drive cost reduction
- operates rfp during phases, including supplier follow up, q&a and bid submissions.
- support documentation and consolidation of our technology tail suppliers
- facilitate supplier procurement process and negotiations relative to business requirements and cost, improving jci's use of our position in the market
- lead software licensing and service negotiations and execution, collaborating with corporate legal for partner concern of certain risk-related terms and conditions
- partner with the it vendor management team to ensure slas, scorecards, and effective qbrs for our critical suppliers
- identify, develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to understand the suppliers' current services for the company as well as additional capabilities
- drive compliance of enterprise agreements
- assist with key supplier issue resolution and risk mitigation, as required
- maintain an extensive knowledge of marketplace, benchmarks and industry methodologies for all technologies
*qualifications*:
- bachelor's degree in finance, law, supply chain or other relevant field
- *4+ years of relevant *experience in legal, contracts, or other relevant field
- jd preferred
- strong contracting skills and business judgment.
- ability to prioritize work and multi-task is a must.
- sense of urgency and customer focus.
- contract and negotiation experience required
- strong ms office skills required, particularly in ms excel.
