a wine sales account to perform sales and marketing tasks with the overall objective of improving wine sales of adegamãe in central and latin america.
the main goal is to promote the winery within the market to improve brand distribution, recognition, and brand equity. The job includes working at all levels of the distribution chain, including retail, distribution, and consumer level.
this account will be involved in the planning of sales and marketing strategies and regular contacts with customers in the market.
this job is a good fit for someone who is passionate about wine and has strong sales skills. To do well in this job, you will also need solid organisational skills, experience in the industry, and advanced knowledge of wines. The role involves a lot of travel, selling the winery wines to clients in a variety of locations.
your main responsibilities:
1. develop and implement sales strategies: you will help develop sales strategies for each brand of adegamãe, working with the portuguese sales team to ensure that these strategies are correctly implemented and help the sales team achieve the expected goals for each customer.
2. conduct wine sales analysis: you must understand sales trends in the market and how adegamãe's current products are performing, given those trends. You should create action plans based on the sales analysis.
3. update clients on new product launches: take the responsibility to ensure customers know about new products. Promote the new product in a way that maximises exposure for the brand.
4. identify new clients for the winery: research the market to discover new clients who may be interested in our products. Then, working in conjunction with the sales and marketing team, develop a plan for approaching those potential new clients.
5. analyse market trends and identify opportunities: use your vast knowledge of the wine industry to identify new sales opportunities for the winery. That may be a new product line which matches consumer preferences or a new advertising campaign to reach a certain public.
6. develop and implement marketing strategies: work closely with the winery marketing to develop and implement successful wine marketing strategies. This usually involves organising a promotional calendar, advertising campaign, and special events throughout the year.
7. be the face of the company at trade events: you will represent the winery at many trade events. Your knowledge of wine and presentation of the brand must be of the highest standard. You should organise special events like wine tastings and wine dinners.
key requirements:
work experience:
1. a minimum of 3-5 years sales experience in the wine industry
2. experience in similar roles
3. experience providing training and giving presentations
4. ideally, some experience in a wine-related role
