Our confidential client is looking for a manufacturing manager.
the manufacturing manager will oversee the overall operations of the manufacturing floor, focusing on optimizing production processes, ensuring equipment uptime through effective maintenance management, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves leadership across manufacturing, maintenance, and continuous improvement areas, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness in all manufacturing activities. The manufacturing manager will also work with cross-functional teams to implement operational excellence strategies, improve processes, and enhance organizational performance.

key objectives and responsibilities
operations leadership
* lead the manufacturing strategy for the site to ensure the timely production of high-quality products while driving efficiency and productivity.
* works with production planning ensuring alignment with demand forecasting and capacity planning.
* maintain strong oversight of manufacturing workflows to ensure optimal productivity, cost-efficiency, and product quality.
* ensure adherence to all safety standards and regulatory requirements within the manufacturing environment.
* develop site strategies for cogs reduction while managing growth and/or expansion.
* reduce costs of goods measured as savings year-to-year including direct labor and overhead.
* manage and ensure successful new product/piloting.
cross functional leadership
* collaborate with safety, quality, materials, production, human resources and other relevant departments to ensure seamless production processes.
* foster strong working relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors and suppliers, to ensure equipment availability and maintain operational efficiency.
* drive interdepartmental collaboration to address production issues, resolve bottlenecks, and implement improvements.

* lead continuous improvement initiatives through the application of lean, six sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to enhance operational performance.
* implement and monitor key performance indicators (kpis) for manufacturing, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
* drive cost control efforts, reduce waste, improve cycle times, and maximize resource utilization.

qualifications
education and work experience requirements
* bachelor’s degree required in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial) with a minimum of 10 years of significant, relevant professional experience.
* master’s degree preferred.
* minimum of 10 years previous experience in manufacturing.
* minimum of 5 years in a people management role.
* strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, maintenance systems, and cost management.
* proven experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives using lean, six sigma, or similar methodologies.
* experience in managing and leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* experience with erp systems and manufacturing software is preferred (autocad, plm, cmms, simulation, and statistical software).
* experience in developing and execute strategies that improve operational efficiency and contribute to organizational success
* possess strong knowledge in manufacturing, maintenance, and continuous improvement processes.
* must be able to travel within mexico and the united states
* valid passport and ability to obtain necessary travel visas
