*kemin is seeking a talented and dedicated hr generalist to handle day to day hr activity for kemin mexico.
daily hr activities include recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee relations, hr administration, and employee health and safety.
this position will have a visible presence with employees, allowing them to ask questions and be available for human resource needs.
this full-time position will be based out of the guadalajara mexico office.
flexibility in hours per week may be needed.
the ability to be proficient in both english and spanish is required.

*what you'll be doing*:
- partner with the local business and hr management in the development and execution of initiatives in support of the business including talent development, performance management, hr policies/processes, and company culture.
- deliver a high level of customer service to employees with hr questions or concerns, by acting as the first point of contact for kemin mexico.
- administer employee compensation and benefits with oversight from management.
- facilitate the recruitment process of new positions for the region.
- provide and facilitate learning and development opportunities for employees.
- stay abreast of local labor law ensuring compliance.
- collaborate with managers on dealing with performance issues, including documentation of the issues.
- manages life cycle of employee relations including conducting investigations, coaching/counseling managers & employees, and writing up appropriate discipline/documentation.
- manages various programs and policies as assigned.
- responsible for orientation of new employees and ensuring proper employment paperwork is completed timely and accurately.
- main contact between employees and insurance broker.
- responsible for sending out to employees and management any communication related to hr topics.
(holidays, benefits, etc.).
- coordinate with external consultants to ensure all immigrations needs are in place.
- maintain and update employee files.
- work with management to facilitate and implement employee health and safety measures.
*what we require of you*:
- bachelor's degree in human resources with 1-4 years of experience.
- understanding of mexican labor law.
- ability to multi-task.
- good organizational skills.
- ability to make good, timely decisions based on consideration of pros, cons, tradeoffs, timing and available resources.
- manage projects and assignments effectively by providing clarity, delegation of responsibilities and redirecting resources as necessary.
- ability to keep information confidential.
- ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
- excellent written and oral communication skills.
